The world's fourth green building rating system is currently the only green building rating system independently developed in tropical and subtropical climates and designed for high temperature and high humidity climates.

Taiwan

Green Building Label

There are six types of Taiwan Green Building Labels. Each type is based on the standards of four axes and nine indicators to determine the five certification levels: qualified, bronze, silver, gold, and diamond. The Green Building Label is awarded to completed buildings, and the Candidate Green Building Certificate is issued for planning and design that have passed the test, with a validity period of 5 years.

Ecology

  1. Biodiversity: Achieving ecological diversity through biophilic design.
  2. Greening amount: Increase the carbon sequestration capacity of the site and reduce the urban heat island effect through greening design.
  3. Base water conservation indicators: Set up a water conservation system to reduce surface rainstorm runoff and lower the microclimate temperature through soil moisture regulation.

Energy Saving

  1. Daily energy saving: adopt passive energy-saving strategies and use high-efficiency equipment to reduce energy consumption in building shell, air conditioning and lighting.


Waste Reduction

  1. Carbon dioxide reduction: Reduce carbon emissions caused by all building structures during production, construction and maintenance.
  2. Waste reduction: Reduce the number of projects that damage the surrounding environment and human health.

Health

  1. Indoor environment: Reduce the harm of indoor pollution to improve health.
  2. Water resources: Focus on improving the "water conservation rate".
  3. Sewage and garbage improvement: Strengthen the implementation of the functions of sewage and garbage treatment systems, and specifically control and improve environmental sanitation.


Applicable to new or existing buildings except EEWH-RS, EEWH-GF, EEWH-RN
Applicable to new or existing buildings for long-term or short-term accommodation of specific people
Suitable for new or existing factory buildings with general indoor operations as the main purpose
Applicable to buildings that have been licensed for more than three years and have undergone renovations with an indoor area of more than 100 square meters

Applying for Building Permit｜Green Building Special Chapter Report

  1. Review design drawings and provide feedback on allocation adjustments and implementation suggestions.
  2. Collect and confirm the submitted drawings, and prepare a report on the green building chapter of the building technical regulations.
  3. Association spot checks special chapter to assist attendance and reply.
  4. Collect and confirm documents, prepare and submit candidate reports.
  5. Reply to the review comments of the candidate report.

Apply for Candidate Green Building Certificate

  1. Collect and confirm relevant documents, prepare and submit candidate reports for review.
  2. Summarize and respond to committee members’ review comments.
  3. Obtain the Candidate Mark and assist in applying for the Candidate Green Building Certificate.

Contract award and construction stage｜Green building construction key points briefing

  1. Review the contract drawings and provide feedback on allocation adjustments and implementation suggestions.
  2. Assist the design unit to submit relevant green building contracting specification documents.
  3. A meeting was held to explain key points of green building construction.
  4. Collect and confirm construction phase documents.



Mark application stage｜Green building site inspection meeting before completion

  1. After completion, on-site green building related key surveys will be conducted.
  2. Collect and confirm relevant documents, prepare and submit the mark report for review.
  3. Summarize and respond to committee members’ review comments.
  4. Assist and attend committee members’ on-site inspections.
  5. Obtain the label and assist in applying for the Green Building Label Certificate.
